Características sociodemográficas, clínicas y abordaje terapéutico de los pacientes con diagnóstico de carcinoma hepatocelular en cirrosis hepática
Resumen
El carcinoma hepatocelular es el tipo más habitual de cáncer primario de hígado. Se desencadena más frecuentemente en personas que padecen cirrosis hepática. Suele presentar signos y síntomas inespecíficos como ascitis, dolor abdominal, pérdida de peso hepatomegalia es decir aumento de tamaño del hígado y la aparición de una insuficiencia hepática. El carcinoma hepatocelular tiende a ser una complicación de la cirrosis hepática el tratamiento dependerá del avance de la enfermedad, del funcionamiento del hígado , siendo mayormente tratado con cirugía quimioterapia, radioterapia e inmunoterapias entre otros medicamentos específicos para esta afección. La finalidad del presente artículo es profundizar un poco más sobre las características sociodemográficas, clínicas y abordaje terapéutico de los pacientes con diagnóstico de carcinoma hepatocelular en cirrosis hepática.
