Las motivaciones del emprendedor inmigrante: El efecto en la gestión de negocios y en los resultados financieros
Resumen
El propósito de este artículo es analizar las motivaciones de los inmigrantes emprendedores y cómo influyen en la gestión empresarial y en la rentabilidad de las empresas establecidas en la ciudad de Tucson Arizona en Estados Unidos de Norteamérica. La investigación está fundamentada en una muestra de 125 empresas del sector servicios, comercio e industrial de emprendedores inmigrantes de origen mexicano. La recolección de los datos se realizó durante el mes enero y febrero del año 2018, a través de una encuesta auto-dirigida al empresario. Para la comprobación de los resultados y de las estimaciones de las relaciones estructuradas en la investigación (hipótesis), se ha utilizado el sistema de ecuaciones estructurales (SEM) basada en la varianza con la técnica Partial Least Squares (PLS), con apoyo del software SmartPLS, versión 3.2.6. Los resultados muestran que las motivacio-nes negativas y positivas influyen de forma significativa en la gestión empresarial y en la rentabilidad de las empresas. Además, la gestión empresarial tiene efectos significativos sobre la rentabilidad financiera de las empresas. Este trabajo contribuye al desarrollo de la literatura de las intenciones emprendedores y del comportamiento planeado.
