Factores predictivos de la fatiga por compasión en el cuidado de enfermería
Resumen
Objetivo: investigar los Factores predictivos de la fatiga por compasión en el cuidado de enfermeria.
Métodos: Se trato de una revisión integradora mediante el método de Whitemore y Knafl. Se realizó la búsqueda de artículos científicos originales empíricos, sobre la satisfacción y fatiga por compasión en las enfermeras. Para ello se seleccionó dos motores de búsqueda importantes que fueron ScienceDirect y Wiley Online. Para poder refinar los resultados se utilizaron las palabras clave: "compassion satisfaction" and "compassion fatigue" "nurses", rango de años de 2020-2024, solo artículos originales, y que los artículos fueran Open acces.
Resultados: entre los factores predictores que conllevan a la fatiga por compasión se encontraron en su mayoría factores organizacionales y laborales tales como el entorno laboral y condiciones de trabajo, las exigencias del trabajo, el nivel de compromiso de los empleados, exposición a situaciones de estrés, enfermedades agudas impredecibles, patologías infantiles de mal pronóstico, que hacían somatizar a los enfermeros su indefensión, tensión, impotencia, frustración ira e impaciencia. Adicional a ello, creaban conflictos interpersonales tanto en el trabajo como en la vida personal, con actitudes negativas hacia otros.
Conclusión: Las características del trabajo hospitalario y la carga laboral que representa es el factor predictivo para la fatiga por compasión más importante. Las organizaciones deben de adoptar la política de cuidado compasivo para así mejorar la calidad de atención, y ante ello, se debe reflexionar si las excesivas tareas burocráticas o protocolos estrictos, hagan correr el riesgo de obstaculizar la empatía y la compasión hacia los pacientes.
